Colossians 4:6 Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.
Our verse today reminds me of my father-in-law who though he passed away a two years age still effects the way my family sees and works with people. Grandpa Rich worked the front window at the post office for over 30 years. Through his work and his wife’s work in the school and through church and social groups he was active in; he knew many people from the community. And everyone who ever met or got to know Rich, knew that he had a heart full of grace and a caring heart. Grandpa taught his family members how to speak to all with grace be he an old friend or a traveler just passing through. Grandpa’s speech was truly seasoned with salt.
We pray: Heavenly Father, thank you for giving us great examples of Your grace to model and follow in being a great witness to You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
