3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man[a] Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. 1 Timothy 2: 3-6
It is up to us, our salvation is up to our repentance and surrender to the will of God and our acceptance of His saving grace through His Son, Jesus. Jesus paid the price of death for our sins; we don’t have to pay a high price, or give up any of our possessions all we have to do is decide that we want to follow Him and our salvation is secure. What a great gift! And best of all what a great relief, our salvation is secure through our faith. Neither government nor man can take this gift away once we have chosen to accept it.
We pray: Heavenly Father, we are eternally grateful to You for sending Your Son to pay the ransom for our sins. Today we renew our commitment to accept this free gift of salvation that Jesus has purchased for us with His death and resurrection. Help us be willing witnesses to others that they to may know the joy of Your salvation. Amen!
