“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
who is and who was,
for you have taken your great power
and begun to reign. Revelations 11:17
It is truly amazing that in a week it will be Christmas Day. Where has the year gone? What has changed? What will I change in the coming year? What blessings am I grateful for?
Let me take a run at the last question first and foremost. What blessings am I grateful for? Health. Shelter. Transportation. Security and Safety. Family. For all these and many more I am truly grateful to God for His rich blessings. Allow me to take a moment to expand on how God’s blessing in each of these areas has left my cup of gratitude overflowing.
Health: I have truly been blessed in the past year with exceptionally good health. God introduced me to Bright Line Eating by Dr. Susan Pierce Thompson. It is through this eating system that I have removed over 65 pound of excess weight and my medical blood test scores are now normal in nearly every area. This is a blessing that has brought benefits to almost every other area of my life. As my father-in-law said “age is just a number, if you have your health you have everything.
Shelter: I am so grateful to live in the greatest, safest country in the world and also to live in one of the most beautiful areas of that country. Along with that, I am blessed to live in a comfortable home and have and be able to afford all the necessary compliments of that home. Heat, AC, lights, phone, hot/cold running water, indoor plumbing, television, internet. Praise God for granting these blessings.
Transportation: I was blessed to travel by car twice this year to the east coast, to Florida in the spring and to Connecticut in the summer. It is truly a blessing to be able to get in the car and drive 300 to 400 miles a day and to arrive at your destination ready to enjoy the activities you have planned. Thank you, Lord, for allowing us safe passage to and from our destinations.
Safety and security: What can I say? I can enjoy my daily life without looking over my shoulder wondering who or what is going to attack me. Most of the threats that I encounter are self created, walking through the livestock, working around running machinery, driving on a busy highway. Once again, Praise be to God.
Family and friends: I am truly blessed in my relationships with my family. I am truly grateful that they are willing to allow me to play with them and to work with them. And I am especially grateful that they are all in good health and are very successful in their work. This is truly a great blessing to a father.
Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to recount my blessings, I pray that you are equally blessed, or even more.
