Live in Harmony

“Now may the God who gives endurance and encouragement allow you to live in harmony with one another, according to the command of Christ Jesus, so that you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ with a united mind and voice.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭15:5-6‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

May I help?

Give God the glory by living in harmony.

Do you have a trouble maker in your family? Someone who tests the limits? Is that you? Uncle Irving? Aunt Gussie?
Cousin Mike? Does your family just pass the stress creator stick around?

A couple of years ago, I stopped watching TV, for a couple of reasons. First, watching TV makes me want to eat, I have dedicated myself to eating 3 meals per day, NO SNACKS. Food commercial after food commercial just makes me want to go the refrigerator for something I don’t need or want. Second, watching TV, makes me want to look for the worst in people? TV emphasizes the negative. I want and need to be encouraged and supportive to others. I need and want to be see the good in every situation, even when I have to shovel away the manure to find it.

TV can be a persistent trouble maker just like Cousin Mike or Uncle Irving. Someone we really desire to avoid as contact with them causes us to lose the harmony we desire in our lives.

Our text today encourages us to live in harmony to bring glory to God. To give each other a helping hand, a pat on the back, a positive word. How can I help?

Grace, mercy, joy and peace to you and your house from God, our Father, and from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May the Holy Spirit open our eyes, ears and heart to see God’s purpose for us today and everyday.

May the peace which surpasses all understanding keep our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Please take a moment and hit reply, say Amen or hello.
