“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.”
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NET
What comes to mind when we consider that our body is God’s Temple? A temple purchased with His Son’s life? A temple saved from destruction by His Son’s resurrection? The Holy temple of His Holy Spirit?
What comes to mind?
If I knew I would live this long I would have taken better care of myself?
I wish I would not have eaten that second helping of ????
I am grateful to be able to play twister with my grandchildren?
I am grateful to be able to feed the cattle, mop the floor, clean the toilet?
I am grateful to be a reflection of God’s blessings.
And thinking about blessings. God takes care of His assets, His temples, God takes care of Us. I am grateful that He provides good food, warm and dry shelter, safe roads and safe and comfortable vehicles, money to pay for our wants and needs, good care and medicine for when we are ill, and more blessings than I can list or count.
We need to take advantage of these blessings and apply them so that our bodies are a good reflection on the owner, God.
Until next time. . .
Grace, mercy and peace to you and your house from God, our Father, and from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May the Holy Spirit open our eyes, ears and heart to see God’s purpose for us today and everyday.
May the peace which surpasses all understanding keep our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
