The “One Thing” You Can Do to Achieve Success
May 1, 2017, I started a journey.
I am like a lot of people who are vertically challenged. I spent most my life too short for my weight.
Like I said, on May 1, 2017, I started a journey to follow a lifestyle designed to put myself into the right sized body.
It is a basic plan:
1. No Flour
2. No Sugar
3. No Snacks
4. Weigh and Measure my food
This plan is called Bright Line Eating and is based on the legal term Bright Lines which are boundaries that cannot be crossed.
This is a basic plan, and I praise God for the almost instant success I had. This success made it possible for me to stick with this plan for 612 days.
Yes, I have fallen off plan, but thankfully for no more than a meal or two.
I just got back on the trail to follow this journey. One Day At A Time.
One of the tools I used was to journal my food. Write down what I was going to eat for each meal the next day. And COMMIT that plan in writing and if possible verbally to someone to hold me accountable for my actions.
I committed my food plan and eating to Tammy and to God. And I simply committed to following this plan from one meal to the next.
I borrow from a 12 step story:
A recovering drug addict, said during his testimony for the group, “I am a sober now, today. I cannot speak for tomorrow but for now, today, I am sober.”
This is why today’s verse touched me so deeply. Committing my actions to God has resulted in achievement of my plan.
The other day I mentioned “If you want to hear God laugh, just tell Him your plans”
But. . .
If you want to achieve your plan commit your actions to the Lord!
Until next time. . .
Grace, mercy and peace to you and your house from God, our Father, and from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May the Holy Spirit open our eyes, ears and heart to see God’s purpose for us today and everyday.
May the peace which surpasses all understanding keep our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Please take a moment and hit reply, say Amen or hello.
If you have a prayer request or concern include that I will be sure to add it into my daily prayers. Leave me a comment I will get back to you.
